The first full shipset of transmitters and display instrumentation for use on the type 42 destroyers was shipped in April.2000. The intention is to upgrade the entire fleet of T42 vessels with similar systems as they come in for refit. While, understandably, we cannot divulge specific details of the application, and aside from the projects size, it is nonetheless interesting for a number of reasons. It uses a submersible differential pressure transmitter developed in co-operation with the MOD for the tank level measurement , and employs variants of both the single and multi tank versions of the new Minder family of tank monitors in a multi-drop ship wide network. |
