PSM recently exhibited at the SMM (Shipbuilding machinery
& marine technology) international trade fair in September.
Amongst the many who visited us during the show was our Turkish
Agent Ilkhan
Buyukturkoglu.
Ilkhan was delighted to see a
working demonstration of the iCT Transmitter. A purpose built
demonstration rig was constructed in fairly limited time specifically
for the show. An
iCT transmitter was suspended by it’s cable within the clear
V-shaped acrylic tank, and liquid was pumped to and from the tank
via a container and submersible pump hidden by the tank base. The dual output from the iCT sensor was
connected with 4-20mA direct to a Single Tank Display minder
configured for volumetric display and with a relay set for pump
control. The digital output was connected to a PC running ISS
configuration & diagnostic software prepared for the show.
This enabled demonstration of various product features;
Level & temperature measurement, sensors calibration via
either manual data entry or current level commands for 4 & 20
mA values irrespective of tank condition. Absolute alarm values,
test mA values, rate of change alarms, force zero/span facility
and tank characterisation for non-linear tanks for example.
Two of our European agents who
visited the show – Ilkhan (Tan Marine) and Grimur (Akor,
Iceland) were both very exited by the product and needless to say
are now becoming very impatient for samples themselves and also
the formal release of the product.
